Would you , as a registrar, sell .nl Control? Please read the conditions for selling .nl Control services.

Who do we mean by 'you'?

You're a registrar that registers .nl domain names for registrants.

  • You're an intermediary between us and the registrant.

    • You act on behalf of the registrant.

    • All communication between us and the registrant goes through you.

      • Except when we need to get an update authorised. Then we'll contact the registrant direct.

Who do we mean by 'we'?

SIDN BV.

What is .nl Control?

A service that gives registrants extra control over important updates to .nl domain name registrations.

  • For details of how the service works, see sidn.nl.

    • That information is available from the registrars' website as well.

    • It forms part of these conditions.

Are we allowed to change .nl Control?

Yes, we're allowed to make changes to the service.

  • The most recent description of the service published on our website is decisive.

How does a registrant subscribe to .nl Control?

You enable the registrant to read the Conditions for using .nl Control services.

  • And you make it possible for them to save a copy.

  • We're allowed to make extra requirements about the way you let registrants read the conditions.

    • If we do that, we'll publish the details on our website, sidn.nl.

The registrant sends you the subscription form.

  • You can download the blank form from our website.

    • The special requirements that the registrant has to meet are given there as well.

  • You check that the registrant has completed the form correctly and in full.

  • And that they've provided all the documents that need to be submitted with the form.

You can set up .nl Control subscriptions only for domain names that you manage.

What does .nl Control cost?

Details are given in the schedule of fees.

  • We're allowed to change the fees.

What other rights and obligations apply?

The ones described in the General Terms and Conditions for Registrars.

  • Unless these conditions say something else.

  • Articles 10 to 15 of the General Terms and Conditions for Registrars are particularly important.
