Over the last six months, use of the Simplerinvoicing electronic invoicing standard has increased sharply. At the start of the year, two hundred organisations were using Simplerinvoicing (FULL) for their electronic invoicing. The number now is more than 2,600! A monthly average of about 200,000 invoices are sent using Simplerinvoicing.
Use is set to rise further in the period ahead, following the Dutch government's decision to require suppliers to support e-invoicing by 1 January 2017.
Simplerinvoicing is a network of software suppliers and e-invoicing service providers that enables the direct exchange of e-invoices between ERP software packages and e-invoicing services. Thanks to Simplerinvoicing, it will soon be possible for any business to send invoices to any other from an ERP/accounting software program or via an e-invoicing service provider. SIDN has managed Simplerinvoicing since 2015. In that capacity, we participate at the strategic level and undertake various operational tasks for the Simplerinvoicing Foundation.
