Although the application of blockchain is still in its infancy, much is expected of this new technology. Many tech-watchers see blockchain's arrival as an exciting and disruptive development, with great potential in the context of honest, sustainable initiatives for a better world. However, there are as yet no practical examples of Blockchain for Good. And many questions remain unanswered.
Spring window open until 7 March 2017
SIDN Fund wants to break through the hype surrounding blockchain and make a constructive contribution to debate and research into the technology's social potential. Blockchain for Good has therefore been chosen as the theme of the spring 2017 funding round. That means that the Fund is actively encouraging grant applications for projects that involve the use of blockchain technology for the general good. Applications for other innovative internet-related projects that support our objectives remain welcome too. The application window is already open, and closes on 7 March 2017. For details, visit the SIDN Fund website.
