This is the final edition of The.nlyst. Our quarterly magazine is being replaced by a monthly e-mail newsletter. The change of medium will help us to keep our contacts right up to date with topical, relevant news.
New focus
Since 2010, we have been publishing The.nlyst about four times a year. All sorts of subjects have been covered. From the introduction of DNSSEC, to the latest developments in the field of cybersecurity. "To begin with, the magazine focused entirely on the .nl domain and our registrars. Over the years, though, that's changed," says Roelof Meijer. "While the magazine's name still refers to our primary role – management of the .nl domain – our activities have become more varied and so have the subjects that we want to talk about.
Broader and more immediate
Our new e-mail newsletter will enable us to showcase everything that we do. "It gives us the opportunity to highlight all our activities and bring news of developments as they happen." As well as updates about .nl and our other services, the newsletter will have features familiar to readers of The.nlyst, such as the event calendar. Everyone who currently gets The.nlyst will automatically be put on the mailing list for the newsletter. Anyone else who'd like to receive the newsletter can subscribe via our website.
New house style
The e-mail newsletter will reflect the new house style that SIDN introduced on 1 March. Roelof Meijer: "From being a fairly conservative organisation known mainly to industry insiders, we have developed into a dynamic enterprise. We have a colourful pallet of activities, and we are respected for our quality and expertise in a variety of fields, as well as for our policy of investing in the internet's development. The new house style reflects what we now are." For a taste, see the back page of this final edition of The.nlyst.
