Database of court rulings will remain accessible
From mid-October 2021, the DomJur.nl website will be operated by deLex Media. DomJur.nl publishes jurisprudence relating to domain names, with particular emphasis on .nl domain names. Under deLex's management, a modified version of the site will continue publishing jurisprudence as it becomes available. The DomJur.nl database will remain publicly accessible, albeit ultimately on a subscription basis.
DomJur.nl is a website where Tilburg University's Faculty of Law and SIDN have been publishing Dutch court rulings and articles relating to domain names generally and .nl domain names in particular. The website also publishes decisions made under the Notice and Take Down Code that relate to the responsibilities of registrars, hosting service providers and the like. Since its creation in 2002, DomJur.nl has published more than 1,400 legal rulings.
From mid-October, DomJur.nl visitors will see a new website, but the database of rulings will be the same as before. In due course, the changes to the appearance of the website will be followed by an important change to the access arrangements: deLex will ultimately introduce a subscription-based access system. However, it will be possible to access the database on a trial basis for thirty days, at no cost. Published legal rulings will therefore remain accessible to all.
