Boudewijn Nederkoorn came to prominence and received acclaim for his work as Director of SURFnet between 1988 and 2007. During that period, he also co-founded AMS-IX, the Amsterdam internet hub. Along with Ted Lindgreen and Piet Beertema, he was one of the prime movers behind the creation of SIDN on 31 January 1996. Nederkoorn was Chairman of SIDN's Executive Board until 2001 and made a major contribution to the organisation's professionalisation.
Ted is now a special advisor to the SIDN's Executive Board.
